Cleveland Baseball Federation Announces Title Sponsor for its Benefit at Progressive Field

CLEVELAND BASEBALL FEDERATION ANNOUNCES TITLE SPONSOR FOR ITS 2016 BENEFIT AT PROGRESSIVE FIELD

CLEVELAND – May 31, 2016 – The Cleveland Baseball Federation (CBF) today announced that the Walter and Olivia Kiebach Foundation will serve as the title sponsor for its 2016 benefit. This year’s benefit will be hosted again at Progressive Field on June 17 during the game between the Cleveland Indians and the Chicago White Sox.

The Walter and Olivia Kiebach Foundation supports youth programs that instill the values of leadership, hard work, commitment and perseverance, as well as foster an entrepreneurial spirit.

Without question, playing baseball as a kid and eventually at Syracuse University in the 1930s gave Walther the critical life skills he needed to move beyond the rural poverty that surrounded him. The Walter and Olivia Kiebach Foundation is proud to be associated with the Cleveland Baseball Federation and salute their dedicated service to the children of Cleveland for more than 80 years.

“We are truly humbled by the generosity of the Kiebach Foundation,” said John Carter, executive director of the CBF. “Our annual benefit goes a long way to ensuring we are able to provide a high-quality program and safe learning environment for our kids. The donation by the Foundation gives us tremendous momentum heading into this year’s youth league summer season.”
