CBF adds Ryan McSweeney as 15U Head Coach

Ryan McSweeney is a 2012 graduate of Trinity High School where he was a three-sport athlete playing baseball, football and basketball. Being named a captain in all three sports and earning a combined nine varsity letters. McSweeney went on to pitch at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio.
During his time at Walsh, McSweeney was the teams 2015 & 2017 ERA /Strike Out Leader as the team’s closer. In 2017 he finished the season with a 4-1 record, 0.91 ERA, striking out 31 batters while only walking six and notching nine saves. That season McSweeney was named a DII NCAA All-American. Other collegiate accolades he earned include First Team All-GLIAC, CCA First Team All-Region, Rawlings ABCA First Team All-Region.
After his time at Walsh he signed a free agent contract with the Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier League after going undrafted in the 2017 MLB draft.
Since his professional baseball career has ended McSweeney was hired as an assistant varsity baseball and football coach at Trinity High School for the last three seasons.
